Redirects

The Redirects add-on allows store operators to easily manage URL redirects within their store. Adding, removing, and configuring redirects is handled simply through the X-Cart administrator area.

Migrating to X-Cart from another platform? Don't lose your SEO rankings and create dead or broken links! Use this add-on to easily setup redirects for your old products and pages to their new X-Cart URLs.

How it works:

A store administrator navigates to System Settings -> Redirect and creates rows in the table.

The left field is the target URL the administrator would like redirected, the field on on the right is the destination URL.

The add-on then handles the user's request, checks to see if a redirect is necessary, and either handles the request as normal or sends the user to the new URL.
