This add-on helps protect products and categories images by adding watermark text and/or image to them. The add-on includes extensive set of options. You don't have to upload or re-upload watermarked images - just add the original images to products/categories and the add-on does the rest to watermark them.

Key Features

• Installs as a add-on so you can easily turn it on/off when required.
• Original images are not modified in any way. The add-on creates new watermarked images. That way you can always go back to the original images if needed.
• There is no need to disable or uninstall the add-on if you don't want watermarked images - simply set its status to none.
• Watermark images with text, image or both.
• Place the watermark anywhere on the image, rotate, set opacity and more.
• The image or text used for the watermark scales down with the image size if it doesn't fit thus making sure all is visible.
• The add-on will watermark products main image, detailed images, zoom-in images, thumbnails, category images. This way they all show the watermark keeping the site consitant.
• Watermarked images are automatically created on page load and then re-used. The add-on will not create these image on every page load and thus it will not slow down site when images already exist. The only time new watermarked image is created is if it doesn't already exists or if add-on's settings were modified after images were created.
• The add-on supports the following image formats only - jpg, jpeg, png, gif and webp.
• Option to save the watermarked image in WebP format.

• PHP Fileinfo extension
• PHP GD Library extension

* Note: This add-on has not been developed or tested with X-Cart 5 Multivendor version.

** Important Notice: As of January 2026, this add-on will no longer be actively maintained. Only critical bug fixes will be provided for X-Cart 5.5.1.x through June 2026. The add-on will not be updated for compatibility with any X-Cart versions beyond 5.5.1.x.
