Add the codes manually one by one, upload them in bulk using CSV import or let X-Cart generate the codes automatically, and upon a successful transaction a number of keys equal to the amount of purchased items will be emailed to the customer and also saved in his account for future reference.
The sold ones are not removed from the database but marked accordingly - unless the admin decides to delete them, which is also possible.
