Backup Master

Crashed my site and was not able to use this as a back up.

does not provide a restore and it crashes often. Its needed because x-cart put out updated that will break the site

If you do not want to lose your data, especially in any update, it is a good idea to buy this module.

The back up module is essential for any eCommerce site. We use it for all our platforms, and the customer support is great.

Makes back up process super simple, great add-on for anyone who knows the potential effects of making changes, data breaches, script injections ect.

Software works to do a backup but I have no way to confirm the backup works for a restore. No restore option lowered my rating. Would be MUCH better if a restore option was available.

Pros: It's convenient and automatic. It makes sure you backup before every upgrade.

Cons: There's no way to restore the store from a previous backup without getting tech support involved. I recently installed two new modules. One of them (Google Optimize) disabled all the product links on the category pages. I wanted to restore the store from the previous backup, but there's no way to do it within the functionality of Backup Master. Luckily, when I disabled Google Optimize, the store worked again. I had assumed that Backup Master would have a "restore from previous backup" option. It does not.

I would rate this a 3, not a 5. This review page won't let me select 3.

I run this before every upgrade, it makes backing up a snap. Recommend!
