Product Filter

This add-on is only available in X-Cart Business, Multivendor, and Ultimate. If you use a newer X-Cart edition, we recommend CloudSearch & Filters as a better option.  

Help your customers narrow a products list down to what fits their needs.

If the filter is enabled for a given category, the panel appears in the left side menu. When any filter is changed, the 'Show products' button appears next to it. Thus the customer initiates the filter application and the page is being refreshed, so that to display the filtered results only.

  A different class with a different set of attributes can be assigned to each individual category. Hence, every category may have its own list of attributes: size, color, length of the sleeve for apparel, memory and CPU for electronics and etc

  To speed up the work of the add-on, you can enable data caching
• Two default filters
  You can enable "In stock only" filters and filter by the price range
• As many custom filters as you need
  The add-on uses the product attributes feature to build the list of filter options for a customer
• Show only available attributes for products in category
  If some attribute becomes no longer available for at least a single product in this category, it can be hidden from the list in the filters panel
• Filter by "tag"
  If you use the "Tag" add-on, its tags can be used to create a filter as well
